Emily O'Brien is an ingenue actress who is a series regular on "Young and The Restless." Regardless of being viewed by millions every day on the show, traffic was disappointing.
We needed to diversify her audience. We spoke to her about some additional activity she may be pursuing. Emily mentioned that she had done some test work with a company that had a new technology that could animate actors into characters into video games. The result is frighteningly life like.
I typed up an article which included an embedded video on her site. We then posted in the link in the technology section of several social bookmaking sites. The next task was pitch the story to the top ranking tech and gaming blogs. We composed a bulk email to her fan club and instructed her to post links on her Facebook and My Space.

After a hiatus after a hack, this blog needed to re-engage it viewers and reach out to new ones. Using E-Zine articles and Facebook Ads/Groups brought in some new readership but were overall a disappointment. The format changes in DIGG and other social bookmarking sites have made the made the process much more tedious and not a very good ROI.
In order to gain new readership, I decided to write a twitter character that was easily relatable to targeted viewers. Enter UNEMPLOYED BUSH, a satirical look at the former president as if he were a "real" unemployed person. BUSH rapidly gained attention and, at writing, has over 3300 engaged followers. This coupled with outreach to like-minded heavily traveled blogs brought a 1000 % jump in traffic.
