Wow, what a fun gig.

As a writer for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Online, I crafted copy for award-winning sites including Disneyland Resort (Lead Writer) , Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Cruise Line and Disney Vacation Club. Each one had a unique voice and style guide. My main focus is creative and UX day-to-day updates the of Disney Parks websites, seasonal mini-sites and creating special offer pages.

The Dark Knight Rises incorporated a major promotion at 2012 Comic-Con. The contest, @BatSignalSearch, was Twitter based and involved contestants in the Downtown San Diego area finding the buildings on which we projected the Bat Signal. They would then tweet their findings. Over a five hour period, over two hundred prizes were given away. I wrote all of the tweets (as approved by Warner Brothers) and managed a Twitter community of over 1200 during this high speed sweepstakes.

Shellback Rum is an upscale liquor brand that Gallo introduced to the market in 2012. For this project, I devised a brand voice to be implemented on their social media channels that would appeal to the “bro” market while adhering to the conservative mentality of the client. I wrote the brand voice style guide and compiled a daily three month content calendar for the project.

What is like to live without fear? Beats me, but when thrown into the Octagon—with absolutely no knowledge of the UFC—I dug into research about Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell.
